PRESIDENT

Hi everyone! My name is Diane, and I’m the second president of Mugusa.

I’m in my second year of African Studies at Leiden University, learning about the captivating continent of Africa.

Through Mugusa, I hope to share my love of the continent by enjoying talks, visiting museums, sharing ideas over drinks, tasting delicious food, discovering cultures, and dancing to Afrobeats!

My tasks include maintaining the association, chairing General Assemblies, representing Mugusa, and helping it flourish with my fellow Board members.

Before this role, I was the Secretary of the Educational Committee (EdCO), and I’ll be overseeing its activities and supporting new members.

SECRETARY

Hello! I am Anna, a second-year bachelor's student of African studies at Leiden University. I am 19 years old, I am Italian, and I speak Italian, English, and a little bit of German.

I am your new Secretary! This means I will keep you updated on major and minor events happening in the association and answer any of your questions or doubts! I will also be in charge of the ARTCO committee which is responsible for creative events within the association.

I cannot wait to experience many amazing moments with you all!

TREASURER

Hi everyone! My name is Wouter and I am the Treasurer of L.S.A. Mugusa for this academic year. This means that I am responsible for all financial matters of the association, which includes making budget plans and making sure that everyone pays their invoices 😉

I will also be the board representative of our Travel Committee (TRACO), where I will advise about and oversee all the expenses made during our yearly trip. See you there! 😊

INTERNAL AFFAIRS OFFICER

Hi! My name is Bérénice and I'm the internal affairs officer of Mugusa.

I’m a first year master student of international politics and former International Studies bachelor student specialising in Africa.

As the internal affairs officer, I take care of the social media and the website as well as being your first point of contact with the association. Do you have any questions about anything at all? Just send me a message!
